About
The Wet Canvas is an artist's project born from the idea that owning a painting with which we feel connected can bring a great sense of well-being and inspiration.
Abstract painting, in particular, has the gift of taking us on a journey into a universal reality made up of shapes and colors that influence our mind and mood.
One of the ideas that gave birth to The Wet Cavas was precisely the years-long search for juxtapositions of colors, shapes and textures that would evoke a sense of well-being and wholeness.
I have been working as an artist in the art system for many years, and over time I have noticed how an artist's creative work often ends up as a trophy to be owned and stored away to be hardly ever looked at. A painting should be on the wall to be looked by those who have chosen it for themselves, not in a dark storage room.
Like Marcel Duchamp, I don't believe in the art system, I believe in artists. I also believe that the role of a painting is not that of a financial investment, but a window through which we can find awareness and well-being by connecting with our emotions.
A painting is always a personal choice and takes time, so feel free to write to me for any clarification or to learn more about each piece at [email protected].
